Comenzó a modelar a los 13 años en reconocidas academias de modelaje de Cali, dónde se preparó poco a poco para realizar desfiles y fotografías para catálogos; fue este último aspecto del modelaje el que mas le gustó, le encantaba posar frente a las cámaras, no le temía, la convertía en su cómplice y por eso logró hacer de las fotos su fuerte.
Se ha retirado del modelaje varias veces pero lo retoma pues sabe en el fondo que es uno de los talentos con que Dios le premió, tanto por su irresistible y voluptuoso cuerpo, como por su actitud y el manejo de las cámaras. Qué mujer tan fotogénica!
Ganó el concurso a la Mejor Cola del Valle en 2005 lo que fue un gran impulso para su carrera, le salieron importantes trabajos para muchas marcas y en poco tiempo estaría haciendo desfiles en todo Colombia.
En el 2006 aceptó quizá el trabajo más polémico de su vida. Se convirtió en Selena Spice, un erótico personaje creado por una compañía americana de contenido adulto.
Si, fue quizá la primera Colombiana reconocida por convertirse en un afamado personaje del mundo del negocio adulto americano (porno) y sin haber llegado a hacer nada distinto a mostrar las tetas, lo cual era un tabú en su conservadora ciudad, Cali.
La presión social fue fuerte, los rumores iban y venían y su buen nombre fue golpeado por una sociedad de doble moral, que por un lado le condenaba por mostrarse “impúdicamente” pero que por otro lado contribuía a convertirla en la primera estrella Colombiana del Internet.
Publicó una serie de videos que dejaban verla espontánea y natural, los cuales al poco tiempo se convirtieron en un fenómeno de YouTube.
Fue tal la controversia generada por Andrea que Julio Sanchez Cristo, durante su programa la W la entrevistó.
Posó desnuda en SoHo, la publicación para hombres más importante, reconocida y prestigiosa de Colombia .
Salió en PlayBoy TV en escenas bastante candentes y comprometedoras junto a otras sensuales modelos de este canal de televisión.
